A working writer

can write anything

Writing is writing is writing. Whether it's a short story, marketing instrument, blog post or technical manual, a seasoned writer can adapt their skills to the task at hand.

I've been writing professionally since I was 17. In that time, I've published works of fiction and journalism, written ads for consumer and B2B, scripted industrial videos and ghostwritten a how-to book. I've written personal essays and flash fiction, business correspondence and wine labels, blog posts and brochures. In each case, the skill set is the same. The only thing that changes is my intention: what do I hope to accomplish?

Marketing writing is an endeavor with unique requirements, but the essence is the same: communicate and move readers to emotion. Keywords and SEO are not the whole story. You need your content to represent you in a way that's polished, professional and compelling. That's where a working writer is indispensable.

I'm also an experienced editor and writing coach who's helped countless writers overcome story blocks, create flow in their work and unearth hidden depths in works of fiction, memoir and creative non-fiction.
